Cut teeth, Figure it Out
1. Creative Direction & Production Manager
Through this time I had gained experience in starting my own marketing agency, finding my design niche, and client management with small to medium size businesses. As Creative Director and Production Manger I had a lot of creative freedom in my projects and attention to detail was a must. Missing a deadline due to print files being askewed or a misscomunication between yourself and vendors will make you learn real quick.
2. One Man A/V Producer
Goal: Provide clear and concise presentations to distribute as continual medical education credits (CMEs). Essentially a one man video production producer for Podiatrists. I traveled around the nation recording, editing, and interviewing as a mobile unit. Quick live editing and producing social media content as the conferences are happening.
3. Web Development
Even though these were just small to medium size business sites, they were our bread and butter for the most part. By the end of it, I was managing about 70ish at one point. Giving me the opportunity to find creative (budget friendly) solutions for our clients. .
4. Client Management, Art Direction
This was my first real taste with understanding client’s needs and helping them understanding their priorities to get setup for success. It’s pretty interesting when small to medium size business owners can become so tunnel visioned with their product. And I also see it’s because they are passionate about their products. But, sometimes it takes a gentle push in the right direction to start building trust with your marketing team.

2015-2018

Research, Design, Test, Push.
1. Agile Development
During this time I was first introduced to an agile development process within a large organization. Understanding what it takes to be able to identify and approach design challenges. As well as optimizing and hitting conversion goals with large amounts of traffic touching my designs on a weekly basis. This was an exciting time for me, really understanding how the sausage is made for large tech companies. During the end of this stint I was entering the consultant phase of my career, which was a nice change of pace. For better or worse, setting myself up for short term project opportunities, without much friction from client stakeholders. Along with the ins and outs of client management skills.
2018-2023

Big Time, Weird Time
During this time, I had the opportunity to be a part of critical system designs for large organizations. Understanding what it takes to be dedicated to a project and team.
I was fortunate enough to take Lead Researcher role in multiple business types.
And of course, Covid hit us all.
2024-2025
Switch Up
I’ve been taking this time lately as a creative exploration, and finding my style. Picking up physically demanding jobs outdoors to get in shape and low stress.
